The Edo State Ministry of Education has unveiled a digital platform for the issuance of certificates and report cards to students in the state public schools.
Speaking at the unveiling event, the State Commissioner for Education, Dr Paddy Iyamu, stated that the initiative was designed to offer digital access to educational certificates.
He disclosed that the innovation was made possible with support from the Gates Foundation.
The Commissioner commended the Gates Foundation for its commitment and collaboration in improving the education standard in the State.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs Edith Ebomoyi, noted that digital certificate would help in securing records.
Ebomoyi added that the platform will reduce processing delays and secure digital access to academic records.
