The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has granted the request of the family of the three children found dead inside a fridge at Nnewi, for their release for burial.
A statement on Saturday by the Command’s spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, noted that the Orutugu acknowledged the grief that the bereaved parents are going through.
The CP assured the family of swift police action when necessary, pending the outcome of the medical findings to complete the ongoing investigation.
He further stated that the Command is working diligently to unravel the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident.
While noting that the details of the investigation are still incomplete, the Command urged Anambra people and all concerned to be patient, even as it seeks continuous cooperation from the community to provide justice for the victims and their families.
