The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has directed immediate acquisition of permanent phone numbers for Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in the State.
Orutugu gave the directive at a closed-door meeting with the Area Commanders in the State.
He noted that the permanent phone numbers will improved and seamless communication between the Police and the public, ensuring that incidents are reported and responded to promptly.
According to the CP, with permanent phone numbers, Area Commands and DPOs can coordinate their efforts more effectively, leading to better policing and improved safety.
He added public can now reach the Police quickly and easily, ensuring that incidents are responded to promptly.
A statement by the Command’s spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated that CP Orutugu is committed to sustaining safety and improving the overall effectiveness of the Police Force in the State.
