Anambra CP Orutugu Leads Patrol to End Sit-at-home

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has vowed to explore every necessary legal strategy to end the involuntary sit-at-home regime imposed on the South-East Region by insurgents.

He made the vow on Monday when he led security operatives on patrol of major streets in various towns across the State.

The patrol witnessed a massive deployment of security personnel to different strategic and identified areas as police and other security forces intensified patrols toward security dominance in the State.

He said this would be achieved through constant review both kinetic and non-kinetic steps taken towards stabilizing the security of the State.

Added to this will be increased patrols and surveillance; strategic deployment of personnel and resources; intelligence gathering and community engagement; and proactive measures to prevent and respond timely to crimes.

“This goal is to deter criminal activities, build trust with the community, and provide a secure atmosphere for economic and social growth,” he said.

Meanwhile, CP Orutugu has commended the Anambra State Government for the establishment of its security architecture, Operation Udo Ga Chi.

He also commended the people of the State for collectively joining voices to condemn any act that threatens national peace.
