The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has commended operatives of the Command for their courage and professionalism in the discharge of their duties in the last one month.
He also commended other security agencies and all relevant stakeholders for their support and the improved coordination in the fight against crime and criminality.
He gave the commendation while reviewing the performance of the Command under his leadership in the last 30 days.
247nextnews.com reports that Orutugu was deployed to Anambra as the 35th Commissioner of Police of the State on February 10, 2025.
He disclosed that the Command recorded significant security stability within the period under review.
Orutugu also reiterated the Command’s openness to constructive criticism to enhance its anti-crime strategy.
He, however, warned trouble makers to either change their ways or relocate from the State, else, they will soon meet their waterloo.
Meanwhile, CP Orutugu said the Command has intercepted information of plans by some disgruntled elements to disturb the peace that the State currently enjoys.
He “warned those who have been misled to take to crime to retrace their steps, as the Command is poised to deal squarely with all acts of criminality.”
He, however, enjoined the good people of Anambra and residents alike to continue to expose these troublemakers.
