The Supreme Court has reaffirmed Samuel Anyanwu as authentic National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The five-member panel in a unanimous judgement held that the matter on the leadership of party is an internal one rather than the business of a court.
The lead judgement read by Justice Jamilu Tukur, invalidated the decision of the Enugu Division of the Court of Appeal which affirmed the removal of Anyanwu by a Federal High Court in Enugu.
The Justice held that the Federal High Court lacks jurisdiction to have heard the matter instituted by Aniagwu Emmanuel.
The apex court said that Udeh Okoye was not joined in the case implied that Aniagwu Emmanuel did not have the right to institute the matter in court.
It said the Federal High Court in Enugu would have the jurisdiction to entertain the matter if it had involved the commission of a crime or violation of contractual rights.
