Edo State Government Caught in Another Lie: European Ambassadors’ Visit Was Not a Secret
A few days ago, Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, denied knowledge of the visit of European ambassadors to Benin City for events relating to MOWAA. However, attached are irrefutable proofs—two official letters from the Embassy of Belgium—clearly detailing the itinerary and purpose of their Ambassador’s visit to Edo State.
These documents expose yet another falsehood by the Okpebholo administration. How can a government that openly lies about such a straightforward diplomatic engagement be trusted with matters of governance, transparency, or accountability?
The Edo State Government must come clean and explain why it attempted to mislead the public on an issue already documented and communicated through proper diplomatic channels.
A government that lies cannot be trusted!
