Gov. Okpebholo Will Not Be Distracted by PDP Propaganda – Ohonbamu

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo is God sent to the people and no amount of propaganda will change the fact that he has been elected to bring positive innovations to drive the state to development and prosperity.

From the feedback from Edo people, they are appreciating the efforts of the governor to put right all that was done wrong in the past and to consolidate on providing good governance in the state without being distracted.

It is very important for us to know that if we truly want development and improve the living standards of the people, the government and people need to shun the propaganda of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

With his style of leadership, Governor Monday Okpebholo cannot be held bound by any distraction or calculated attempts to ridicule him in the eyes of the judiciary or any segment of the society because his focus is to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people who have elected him.

The Governor is more concerned about service delivery to the people, how to transform our primary health care facilities at the grass roots and several communities across the state, provide jobs for the unemployed, build good schools with qualified teachers, provide food for the people and build motor-able roads which are some of the issues bothering him.

If indeed there must be a change, we must be conscious of the fact that whatever we do is for our own interest. The Governor is in a hurry to prove a point that if the resources in the state are used properly, Edo people should not continue to suffer in the midst of so much, because they were diverted to individual pockets by the past government

It is an aberration for the people to continue to drive through dilapidated roads across the state, when it can be fixed, irrespective of the fact that some are designated federal roads. That was what the governor was referring to when he alluded to the cordial relationship existing between the President, Senator Bola Tinubu and himself in a recent interview.

The Governor believes that with this relationship with the Federal Government, Edo people should be rest assured that in the no distant time, there will be a lot of development and opportunities in the state.

Interestingly, these are what the previous administration could not achieve, obviously because of the antagonistic stance of the opposition political party. They had every opportunity to fix the myriad of problems, but they did not and yet they want to continue to deprive Edo people of these dividends of democracy.

To the dismay of Edo people, they were deprived of their entitlements because the state government refused to liaise with the Federal government, but the politicians in government diverted the resources of the state into their private accounts and the heart beat of the country was left to survive on oxygen.

However, the Senator Monday Okpebholo-led administration is poised to use every kobo and opportunity possible to bring back the lost glory of the state in all areas. The policy of the governor is pro-poor because of his back ground and he is determined to drive with passion the provision of the basic necessities of life for the people.

It is not surprising to see the desperate effort of the PDP and their governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo making frantic effort to blackmail Governor Okpebholo by referring to what he said in an interview concerning the tribunal Judges so that they can come back to continue to impoverish Edo people.

For their information, Edo people are not unaware that if indeed there must be a change in the state, there must be conscious and deliberate effort to do things differently and that was why they voted for the All Progressive Congress, APC candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo and no amount of witch hunting will change that decision to build a new model of governance that is far from the past.

It is obvious that there will be some resistance from the technocrat and the dead PDP in the state, but the voice of the people for a change will prevail at the end

The governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo has noted that governance is about service delivery by providing tangible, measurable and verifiable projects that can improve the lives of the people across the state and not propaganda
