An Akure, Ondo State-based socialite, Adesoji Johnson Adeleye, has been allegedly Stabbed to death by yet-to-be-identified persons.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Akure, the State capital.
The victim who is the proprietor of Klass Five Hotel, was reportedly murdered inside one of the rooms at the hotel, located in Arakale area of Akure, the State capital.
A close friend of the deceased, who pleaded anonimoty, said that the killers found their way into the hotel premises where they met Adeleye who was awake and ready for the day’s work.
“They overpowered him stabbed him severally and waited for him to die before leaving the room.
“We went out together last night and we both agreed to meet again in the morning,” he said.
A family member who also asked not to be named in print, disclosed that the incident has been reported at the police station and that detectives from police headquarters in Akure have visited the scene of the incident.
He stated: “The men of the Police Command took the remains of the deceased to the morgue while some people have been invited for questioning.”
The State Police Command spokesman, Olayinka Ayanlade, who confirmed the murder, disclosed that detectives are already on the trail of the perpetrators.
