A 45-year-old man, Okwuchukwu Ezimuo, has been arrested over the death of his relative, Joseph Dike, following an alleged dispute over a family land.
The incident occurred in Umunocha Village, Awka-Etiti, Anambra State, on Monday, 22 September, 2025.
It was gathered that the 65-year-old victim, collapsed after being struck on the chest by the suspect during a quarrel.
A statement on Wednesday by the State Police Command Spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the victim was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has urged residents to seek peaceful resolution to disputes and avoid violence at all times.
