A 37-year-old man, Anthony Kosisochukwu Okafor, has been arrested by operatives of Anambra Police Command for allegedly killing his elder brother, Emmanuel Okafor, over food stuff.
The incident occurred on Friday, February 7, 2025, in Adegbe Village, Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area of the State.
According to a statement by the Command’s spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the suspect used a stick to pierce the deceased chest, over a heated argument about using foodstuffs in the house.
The 45-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital and was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
“The case has been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka and shall be charged to court on the conclusion of the investigation,” Ikenga said.
