The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) is set to launch Nigeria’s first indigenous helicopter.
Developed by the Aeronautics and Air Vehicle Development Institute, the aircraft is in its final stages, with its maiden flight happening soon.
The project combines local expertise with advanced engineering, incorporating both ground-up innovation and Semi Knock Down (SKD) & Complete Knock Down (CKD) components.
This milestone marks a major step toward boosting Nigeria’s aerospace industry, fostering technological self-reliance, and reducing dependence on foreign imports.
