Selected youths in Benin, Edo State have commenced a one-month training programme on electric meter repairs.

The training, which started on Monday, January 5, 2026, is part of NCDMB’s human capacity development initiatives, designed to address the skills gap in the oil and gas industry and related sectors.
Participants would be equipped with practical skills in electric meter repairs, thereby enhancing their employability and contribution to the energy sector.
Upon completion of their training, participants are expected to possess the necessary skills to work in electric meter repair and maintenance, enhancing their chances of employment.
This initiative underscores the NCDMB’s commitment to developing local capacity and capabilities in critical skills required by the industry.
By partnering with Bestik and Sons, the NCDMB is leveraging expertise to provide hands-on training that aligns with industry needs.
