No fewer than 40 Warri, Delta State-based youths have been trained and certified in Welding, Fabrication and Qualification.
The one month-long world-class training programme was conducted by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in collaboration with Augoe and Sons Company NIG Ltd.
The top-class training was designed to equip the participants with specialized skills in welding and fabrication.
They received hands-on instruction and practical experience that would aid them in their future careers.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training programme, the representative of Augoe And Sons, Idi Presley, expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his support to the Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe-led NCDMB.
Certificates of participation were issued to the participants, who expressed excitement about the skills they acquired during the training.
This initiative underscores the commitment of the NCDMB to developing local capacity and empowering Nigerian youths in the oil and gas industry.
The NCDMB has been at the forefront of promoting Nigerian content in the oil and gas sector, with initiatives such as the Oil and Gas Field Readiness Training Program, which aims to equip young Nigerians with practical skills in high-demand areas.
