The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has appealed for calm over the incident of the shooting to death of Chiamaka Okeke, by yet-to-be-identified trigger-happy security operative.
Orutugu made the appeal in a statement on Wednesday, by the Command’s spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga.
The CP noted that the Command is already in contact with the relevant security outfit to identify the suspect and ensure justice is served.
He further that investigations are currently ongoing and further developments would be made known to members of the public.
The deceased met her untimely death in the evening of Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Ibeto Junction, Nnewi, when suspect shot her to her death.
